Part-Time Living Skills Specialist

Position: Living Skills Worker (Approx 30hrs/week)

Location: Travel required in Calgary Rockyview Region

Hours: Hours are flexible - typically occur Mon-Fri daytime with some occasional early evening hours required
Additional Info:
RESPONSIBILITIES: To assist individuals with an acquired brain-injury who are in need of individual support in their home and community. Support could include functional skill relearning, completion of therapeutic routines (physio and OT) accessing the community, and home management. Support includes the refinement and achievement of their self-directed goals addressing independent living skills, and working with support networks. The LS worker may be required to assume other responsibilities if appropriate (eg. Review of service agreements) 2 years experience working with indiviuals with a brain injury is an asset. QUALIFICATIONS: * Minimum of (2) years experience. Experience working with a variety of individuals. * Degree or Diploma in a Human Service Field. * Ability to work independently. * Good receptive, expressive and written English language skills. * Exceptional communication, facilitation and team skills. * Training and experience in community /daily living skills. * Ability to be flexible and handle changes to the work schedule. * Use of personal vehicle is required.
